It is horrible to think of this phenomenon, but fleas can actually jump up to one hundred and thirty times their height. In human terms, that means an average man could jump up more than seven hundred feet from a standing start! Because they can do this, it is very hard to contain them anywhere so they get into carpets, in cracks and crevices, and just about anywhere where they will fit.
The flea is a blood sucking insect of course, and it will always live where there is a ready supply of
